Dr. Arjoon Suddhoo is a distinguished international leader in science, innovation, governance, and higher education, currently serving as Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, where he oversees corporate services, development divisions, strategic planning (2025–2030), and transformative initiatives in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital governance. A British national, he holds a PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the University of Manchester, an MBA with Distinction from the University of Liverpool, and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. His career spans senior academic, governmental, and corporate leadership roles, including two terms as Chairman of Air Mauritius, Executive Director of the Mauritius Research & Innovation Council for two decades, and Chairman of the Mauritius Renewable Energy Agency.
