Prof. Miroslav Mateev

Dr. Miroslav Mateev is Vice President and Provost at SEE Institute, The Sustainable City – Dubai. Under his leadership, SEE Institute established itself as an international hub for sustainability-focused education, research, and innovation in the UAE, drawing on his extensive global academic and leadership experience. Prior to this role, he served as Vice President for Research and Advancement at the American University in the Emirates (AUE) and as Director of Research at Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM). Before moving to UAE, he was a Professor of Finance at the University of Maine Business School, USA. Dr. Mateev holds dual doctorates in Industrial Management and Economic Sciences (Finance) and has built a distinguished academic career spanning more than 30 years. His scholarly contributions include over 120 publications in leading academic journals, five books, and numerous keynote presentations at international conferences. He is a Chartered Manager (CMI-UK) and currently serves as Chair of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Chapter Middle East.
